A concluding event on presenting the results of a project on combating trafficking in human beings, implemented by European Institute and financed under the Norwegian Financial Mechanism, will be held on 6 April 2016 in Hotel Central’s Meeting room Sredets.
The event will be opened by Mr. Tsvyatko Georgiev, Deputy Minister of Interior of the Republic of Bulgaria and member of the National Commission for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings and H. E. Tom van Oorschot, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Bulgaria. Representatives of the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Bulgaria and experts in the field of the fight against trafficking in human beings and Schengen from the Netherlands, Norway and Bulgaria who have worked on the project will also take part
During the event will be presented the latest information regarding combating trafficking in human beings and international cooperation and the results of the project. Within the project “Multidisciplinary Approach for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings by Transferring Knowledge and Good Practices from Schengen Member States, More Specifically from Norwegian Experience” were conducted multidisciplinary trainings of a large number of civil servants from law enforcement and judicial institutions, as well as from institutions in the field of security.
The event will be attended by officials of the Ministry of Interior (CDCOC, Directorate “Border Police”, Directorate “Migration” and Chief Directorate “National Police”), representatives of the Prosecutor’s Office, the National Investigation Service and the District Courts of Burgas, Varna, Sliven, Plovdiv, Pazardzhik, Blagoevgrad, Veliko Tarnovo and Montana.
